Hey does anyone know about when the iPhone 5 will be available in the US apple store as Factory Unlocked ?

We don't know. We can't know. If you can manage to get Verizon to sell you one of THEIR model of iPhones at full price without a contract, then you can get an unlocked iPhone right now. If not, you'll have to wait.

If you (or anyone else) can, TELL ME (everyone, in this thread), and tell us what you said to get them to do it.

Verizon sells off contract now. I think I read somewhere that it's gsm unlocked if you buy from verizon http://d.pr/i/jpOr you can cancel anythime i believe

If you have a Canadian friend or family member they come factory unlocked from the Canadian Apple store.
